The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has hired Bruno Vicenzi as its new technical manager, replacing Dr Olivier Coube.
Vicenzi worked from 1990 to 2002 as a researcher on powder technology, materials and applications at materials specialist Centro Sviluppo Materiali SpA and was a founding partner of MIM company MIMITALIA Srl, the EPMA says. He was also co-chairman of the EuroMIM group from 2003 to 2017, and a member of the EPMA council from 2005 to 2017.
In his new role he will follow the organization’s EuroFM, EuroHM, EuroMIM and EuroPress&Sinter sectoral groups, gather and analyse relevant statistics, organize research projects and actively foster the development of new research programs. He is also responsible for coordinating the EPMA’s training and education activities and helping improve global awareness of the PMs sector.
